I'm a husband and father of four little humans, PostDoc at PEASEC, and working on making the world's IT more secure.

My research focuses on process optimizations and information retrieval for security experts, but it translates to other domains as well. To achieve this goal I use natural language processing, information retrieval, and data mining.

I'm a passionate software engineer interested in web development, distributed systems, and open source. Here you'll find my blog posts, technical writings, and various curated lists.

I'm also interested in automating mundane tasks and Nix (using it for my servers). If there is some spare time I love to ride my bike (with a strong interest in long distance cycling) 🚴 Besides that, I'm into photography (portraits and nature) 📷, like to read 📕, play video games, and learn and try new things.
